DS: Risk Warning; Winter Weather Advice

Hello all,

The first frost has happened so its time to distribute the attached for your attention please.

I haven't included the aspect of one of your most difficult decisions, that of having to announce closure and when, where the approach has been that you don't contact the media yourselves direct so as not to overwhelm and it avoids a hoax, but do tell/feed your local council with the information and they share it. Please take action to find out what arrangements are in place this year in case they have changed with the pressure LAs are under.

As usual, we'll keep an eye on those forecasts and communicate with you on them where we thing a warning is justified.

As ever, any gems to add are gratefully received.

All the best.

Bill

DS Risk Warning: Health - Coronavirus/Covid 19

Hello all, You may well have already heard or seen that as a result of the Government's meeting today on this issue they have moved to a different level of response to the virus and its progress namely DELAY. Older people and those with pre-existing health conditions are being told not to go on cruises. PM Boris Johnson said it was "the worst public health crisis for a generation".   He said there was no...

There's some enquiries too on DofE expeditions, which in the circumstances will need careful review and potential postponing. If you have any other queries, do get in touch and we'll do our best to advise.
