Hello all, The first frost has happened so its time to distribute the attached for your attention please.  I haven't included the aspect of one of your most difficult decisions, that of having to announce closure and when, where the approach has been that you don't contact the media yourselves direct so as not to overwhelm and it avoids a hoax, but do tell/feed your local council with the information and they share it. Please take action to find out what arrangements are in place this year in case they have changed with the pressure LAs are under. Hello all, In the light of the weekend's arrests the UK terror threat level has been lowered to severe after being raised to critical, its highest level. The "severe" terror threat level means an attack is no longer imminent but is still highly likely. This is not the same as an "all clear" - intelligence is only ever fragmentary. Therefore, the advice to remain vigilant and aware continues and my advice regarding risk assessment review relevant. All the best. Bill

Hello all, Following the London Tube incident yesterday, the independent Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre advised the Government, when it was obvious the perpetrator had neither died nor been caught, to raise the UK Terror threat level to its highest point, namely 'Critical', meaning an attack may be imminent. ​ Please note that each time the level has gone to critical, it has only stayed at this highest level of alertness for three to four days - this is partly as it involves an unsustainably high tempo for the police, intelligence and security services.
