Delegated Services: Risk Warning; Weather

The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning:   Yellow:   Severe weather is possible over the next few days and could affect you. Yellow means that you should plan ahead thinking about possible travel delays, or the disruption of your day to day activities. The Met Office is monitoring the developing weather situation and Yellow means keep an eye on the latest forecast and be aware that the weather may change or worsen, leading to disruption of your plans in the next few days.     Regional Forecast for South West England Headline: Mild and windy. Colder by the weekend. Today: This morning will be mild, cloudy and mostly dry, though light rain is likely over the moors. It will become very windy everywhere with severe gales on hills and coasts. DS: Risk Warning; Winter Weather Advice

Hello all, The first frost has happened so its time to distribute the attached for your attention please.  I haven't included the aspect of one of your most difficult decisions, that of having to announce closure and when, where the approach has been that you don't contact the media yourselves direct so as not to overwhelm and it avoids a hoax, but do tell/feed your local council with the information and they share it. Please take action to find out what arrangements are in place this year in case they have changed with the pressure LAs are under. As usual, we'll keep an eye on those forecasts and communicate with you on them where we thing a warning is justified. As ever, any gems to add are gratefully received. All the best. Bill
